But the reality is that data collected in one part of the customer journey often can\u2019t be reused in another without violating consent policies, regulations, or customer trust.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how to build governance models that support AI at every stage of the funnel:<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Map consent at the point of capture \u2014 and carry it forward<\/h2>\n<p>Consent isn\u2019t one-size-fits-all. This means maintaining logs of:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What data was used<\/li>\n<li>What purpose was declared<\/li>\n<li>What model generated the output<\/li>\n<li>What actions were taken<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is especially critical for sensitive use cases such as lead scoring, dynamic pricing, or customer tiering \u2014 areas where biased data or black-box models can cause real-world harm or lost trust.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Be transparent with customers<\/h2>\n<p>Finally, good governance includes transparency.
